What did you learn from your reading? Summarize the big ideas here.

Anyone who is new to a job would appreciate support from those who have been in there already. The new teacher is no exception. Receiving support from a community of teachers both local and globally makes a world of difference to him/her.

He/She is able to gain insight into new areas through the ideas shared by various teachers and this eliminates that feel of being lost or isolated.

Furthermore, the teacher feels that he/she is not alone in this venture and gain insight into how to address difficult situations.

Teachers can get their students connected to other virtual classroom thereby reducing the idea of a class being restricted to the four walls; an idea that students normally welcome.

Upon reading the book, I felt that receiving support is integral to a teacher's overall ability to perform his/her job well. Using connected resources offers the opportunity for teachers to develop to their full potential as well as create the best students.

I look forward to sharing ideas with other teachers so that my upcoming school year could be the best ever!
